Steep mixed cedar–cypress forest in the headwaters of the Shimanto River, with three generations of documented thinning and pruning. Sustainable forestry credentials are well-recorded. No direct forest-road access — extraction requires cable yarding or a neighboring-parcel agreement. The municipality is active in forest-environment tax–funded programs.

四万十川源流域の急峻な杉檜混交林。先代から3世代にわたって間伐・枝打ちが続けられた施業林で、FSC的な評価軸でも記録性が高い。林道未接道のため搬出は索道もしくは隣地経由の協議が必要。地域は森林環境譲与税の活用も活発。
